Coffee tables, dressers, end tables, lamps, are just a few items that can be donated.  Craigslist is another great way to recycle.  The rule of thumb is that if its smaller than a breadbox the charities will take it .  These items include clothes, dishes, glass ware, linens, kitchen gear and so on.  Large items like couches, desks, kitchen tables, and sofa beds are some common items that are hard to get rid of thru charities.
